Jonathan Disley is an exceptional individual who truly exemplifies courage and determination by achieving notable, continued, success throughout his career in finance and investment.
Hailing from a council estate background Jonathan presents a very confident aura, demonstrating a bold disposition, which stems from frequently being told what he would not or could not achieve throughout his early life and education; driving him to do quite the opposite.
Unfortunately, his audacious character, substantial success and unique modus operandi, had an adverse effect when he was wrongly accused and convicted of fraud against the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2013. Clearly mishandled, the case was soon reviewed and Jonathan’s conviction was overturned, clearing his name and allowing him to continue, undeterred, with his life and career.
After such a terrible blow, most people would struggle with the motivation to rebuild, and the impact of such negative publicity could easily deter the best of us; this was not the case with Jonathan.
Instead, he went on to maximise his natural ability to create smart financing and restructuring solutions, working closely with, and benefiting, many individuals along the way.
Given his personal journey and success, Jonathan recognised the need to create something much bigger than himself, and went on to resurrect and modernise an old financial company, originally set up in 1935, creating an intelligent financial house, which was listed in 2015. Jonathan also runs Jonathan Disley consultancy a very successful business consultancy company.
He has in the last four years, raised over £500 Million for various property and hospitality businesses, as well as several mini/retail bond markets across Europe. He as also restructured over thirty failing companies, turning them from the brink of liquidation to thriving business’s, he’s achieved over £400 Million in exits, and has launched 25 companies and 7 IPO’s in the last 18 months alone. He now has offices in London, Dubai, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Germany, New York, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Portugal and Italy.
